Sky Colorization Tutorial

This tutorial is great at teaching someone with a version of Photoshop that has Adjustment Layers and Gradient Maps how to properly color a sky. Here are some notes on some sections:

1. You can use a sky found in nature, but alternatively, a cloud brush can work as well. If you go the method of the cloud brush, place white clouds on a black background.

2. Alternatively, you could select Image > Adjustments > Black & White or do Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation and bring the Saturation down to zero.

6. Sometimes, you can skip the sky changing part of this step entirely if you want more substance and value in your sky.

8. You can use darker colors instead of white, but it must be lighter than the background in order to look right.
